International Response

East Coast Party Band People,

It is Tuesday morning and everything is going well with the band.We are scheduling rehearsals this week and next week getting new material ready for performance. There is so much preparation that goes into what we do. It's hard to imagine the hours behind just one new song  and getting it ready for rehearsal. Each band member has to be very familiar with the tune, intuitively know what they would be responsible for doing, lead vocalist be able to translate the melody accurately and then everyone come to rehearsal and put things together. Very rarely does the first run-through sound like the song!!! It's usually a train wreck (with all apologies to the train people)! We discuss, gather direction and proceed. We do this for each and every tune plus the ones we go back and brush-up on. Party Band rehearsals have gotten very good in that everyone comes with great attitudes and preparedness along with a willingness to listen and work together. It is that type of selflessness that makes our group so special! That's just a brief look into one aspect of our group.
The next thing I wanted to rant about has to do with our International response here at Web Central! (for all of you who don't know..........that means our website!) We have lots of people all over the world tuning into the site for info, listen to music, intrigued by the biographys, pictures or whatever it is that makes them come back time and time again. The internet is truly an amazing thing as it has opened up our exposure to the world quite literally. Last night, I was texting a GREAT musician and friend from my phone using Windows Messenger. Thats not such a big deal anymore EXCEPT.......he lives in South China!! Caleb Loo, if you are reading this, take care brother! We have visits from Scotland, China, Austrailia, Israel, Russian Federation, Brazil, Japan and many others. We also have some of our American Soldiers in Afghanistan, Iraq, Germany and other places dialing up just to get a brief look back at home. For our soldiers fighting battles, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing what you are doing to secure freedom and representation for those in need. For those of you across the globe who tune in to check us out and keep up on the happenings, thank you so much and please feel free to contact us on our contact page and let us know what you like or dislike about our site. We would love to hear from you all! Our music transcends geography, political views, religious differences and language barriers. No matter where you are, who you are, what your job is or political affiliation, our music and entertainment is for you. As we play our music each and every night, whether there are flashes of really good stuff or a mistake here or there, that music is for the people we are playing for and most likely, we will not play it exactly that way ever again. That's the beauty of "live" music and something that I fear may be lost on our youth. There's just something magical about "live" music and performances. Our music is your music. Wherever you are, whoever you are, we can all put 10 pounds of party in a 5 pound bag! Let's do it y'all!
